Here are the stats:
Total colleges applied to: 22
Total acceptances: 6
Total wait-lists: 4
Total rejections: 12
I was accepted into roughly 27% of colleges I applied to.
Of the 6 I was admitted into, 3 really stand out.
I would like to keep them a mystery for now, and will be referred to as Colleges X, Y, and Z.
If you think you know what college I am talking about, feel free to comment and guess!
Now excuse me while I type out all my woes and concerns...
College X:
-I REALLY like College X. They rank No. 1 in the US for so many things!! Number 1!! You'd be crazy to turn down Number 1, right??
-I heard the academics there are hard. Over and over, students review this place as having really great professors, but hard work. They say they give a lot and student's free time is minimal. I don't want to work THAT hard. Yes, I know college is for work and not fun, but I've been working my ass off my entire life. I want a little break. But I hear it repeated over and over again, "it's hard to even get a B+", "it's hard to earn a stellar GPA here", "most students are happy with a B".
And for a college in which almost half of attending students ranked in the top 1% of their high school, that's a tad intimidating to hear them call this coursework "hard". I myself am valedictorian for my school, however I... I'm a bit put off by the workload offered by this college. But of course, all colleges have work, and it truly depends on your major and how much the student procrastinates, haha.
-This place LOVES their sports. I hate sports -____-
-Small class sizes! I like!
-This campus has ONE pretty building. The rest suck ass.
-SO CLOSE to some other states. I can walk to another state in under 10 minutes, it's so close. I REALLY love this!!
-Scenery = EPICNESS. I can go nutso with my camera here!!!
TAKE
ALL THE PICTURES!!!

College Y:
-I LOVE the student body at this college! They are known for having "weird, quirky, strange, artsy, liberal, hipster, gay" students. I can really fall in love with a student body like that. Of course, this is the stereotype they are branded with. Weather it is true or not... I somewhat hope so. In recent years, I have read that this school has been admitting less weird applicants, and that current students don't like it.
One girl commented about how this one guy ate all of his burgers upside down. I eat only the edges of cakes/brownies/whatever and leave the rest. I take 2-3 bites of pizza, then just eat the cheese and lick the sauce off. I take a couple bites of a sammich, then I tear it apart and end up getting mustard or whatever all over my fingers. I have unusual eating habits XD Anyways, from the many reviews I have read, this campus is very "open" and "accepting". I like that type of atmosphere, compared to the one I currently live in where everything I do is evil and wrong. So... I am attracted to the student body.
-I have heard that the work is "manageable", and that is good. I like manageable work, I don't want to be flooded with work >___<
-They have interesting classes methinks.
-Campus is relatively pretty. Not the most beautiful, but I think it is pretty enough =]
-This school is also elite. Not as elite as College X, but elite enough.
-I think this school has the best town surrounding it

College Z:
-BEAUTIFUL college campus. And I mean it's STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS.
-They LOVE their sports even more than College X!! I DONT LIKE SPORTS!! This place is like, all sports! D<
-Pretty rad study abroad program
-Student body is characterized as "white, preppy, and rich." :I I am neither. I am Native American, follow my own clothing style and like creepy and morbid things, and I am close to dirt poor.
-The food there is the bomb, I heard.
-They were the only one to send me a legendary "likely letter", a letter arriving roughly a month before admissions decisions are released saying that you are "likely" to be accepted to their school (aka: you're already admitted). I researched this, and what it means pretty much is that the school likes you a lot and really wants you. Also I read is that you have to be valuable enough where they know that other competitive schools will want you, therefore the school wants to let you know that you're in early so you can have more time to consider them. So, it's a complement, since hardly anyone gets "likely letters".
As the Internet said, "Likely letters usually happens when a candidate is SO strong that admission folks want him or her to know right away that an acceptance is pending. The idea is to "stroke" these sought-after applicants and to help them to think fondly of the college in question before they receive decisions from competitor schools." As I said, it's a compliment to think I'm a valuable applicant :0

I will be visiting these 3 colleges during the month of April (they are all paying for me to visit)
Hopefully by my return, I will have a decision and be ready to commit myself to one by May 1...
Nervous!!
They all have their pros and cons.
College X and Y are my two favorites, however. I am in love with what College Y has to offer, and the only thing that I am a bit apprehensive about are College X's academics with so many students saying it is uber hard.
YIKES.
COLLEGE.
OMFG.
